John Chervinsky's Still Life Mixed-Media Series is Unique

Combining oils paintings with photography, these unique still life mixed-media artwork pieces will leave you guessing which is what and how the artist was able to put it together so flawlessly.

These visual masterpieces were created by photographer John Chervinsky, who has always been interested in the idea of contrasts and exploring how well he can get things to harmoniously mesh.

His 'Studio Physics' still life mixed-media artwork series was created by layering first the photograph of the still life he is capturing, which he then crops and sends to painters in China to replicate but using oil paining. The artist then retakes the image, but with the cropped oil painting included this time, to create the final result.

Chervinsky's strange technique gives the artwork so much more depth than a normal photograph or painting.
