The Steam B Iron is an attempt to make the mundane household appliance something much more stimulating than most other domestic possessions. The task is a tall one, given that the de-wrinkling device is far from the favorite electronic at home.
Daniel Pera's goal was to broaden the scope of potential buyers, enticing teens and more men to pick up a hot press and spruce up their own clothes. The designer felt that the best way to do this was by incorporating stimulating tactile and auditory features into the streamer.
A bulbous top of therapeutic gel forms an unusual handrgrip, but presents the opportunity for the user to mold his own handle. As the Steam B Iron warms up, the glossy skin of the appliance begins to glow red, and a touchscreen interface allows one to browse and play his favorite music.
