These Major Monuments are Going Green for St. Patrick's Day 2014

St. Patrick's day 2014 is going to be an incredibly festive day and even global landmarks are taking part in the festivities. World monuments will be taking on the classic green tinge to represent for the Irish on St. Patrick's this year.

Places like the White House may seem too regal to have a little bit of fun, but this year they'll be turning the green lights on in the fountain to celebrate the holiday. The White House isn't the only one though as Tourism Ireland is encouraging more than 70 monuments around the world to go green to show support.

The big ones that have been shown so far include the Empire State Building, Niagara Falls and the Chicago river. While Drinking may have become the go to activity for most on St. Patrick's Day, going on to enjoy some greenified national monuments is an option too.
