Leather Logged Derrieres

Spring 2010 Collections Utilize Hides to Cover Bottoms

It’s an ongoing controversy in the fashion industry, but real leather is in for this spring season.  Leather hot pants, micro shorts and ultra minis skimmed the runways at the shows of Costume National, Loewe and Celine, to name a few.

Although it would have been more honorable to use faux hides, brands such as Loewe, the luxury Spanish leatherhouse, are known for their expensive creations.  The fabrication is difficult to work with, but nonetheless was crafted into wearable separates.  Besides the expected leather jackets, were leather bottoms both butt-hugging and loosefit.
