Asthma-Tracking Inhalers

The Spiroscout from Asthmapolis Tracks Your Asthma Attacks

Even though I don't suffer from asthma, I am ridiculously excited about the potential of the Spiroscout from Asthmapolis. The Spiroscout is a GPS-enabled inhaler designed to track the location, dates and times of your inhaler use.

The idea behind the Spiroscout from Asthmapolis is that by using GPS technology, doctors can more closely track what causes asthma attacks and where. Imagine being able to get an update on your smartphone telling you to avoid walking down a certain street during wintertime because the flowers lining it emit pollen that causes asthma attacks. The Spiroscout inhalers are currently not available, but Asthmapolis has developed a smartphone app that lets you track where and when your asthma outbreaks occur. Freedom from asthma attacks is closer than you think.
