The 'SOS Connected Watch' Premiered at CES 2016

'Haier' just debuted its SOS Connected Watch line at CES 2016. Although there are a wide variety of smartwatches on the market, the majority of these devices are designed for adults. Now Haier is offering an alternative for children and seniors that are looking for a smartwatch that fits their specific needs.

The SOS Connected Watch line consists of two distinct collections. The first is the children's collection, which is intended for kids between the ages of two and eight. This particular watch is equipped with a microphone and speaker that allows parents to communicate with their child at any time. The children's version of the watch is also equipped with an app that features GPS-tracking and location-based information, which can be used to monitor a child's whereabouts. The second collection features many of the same applications, however it is largely targeted at seniors instead of children. These particular smartwatches come with a built-in SOS button that can be activated in the event of an emergency.

Both of these smartwatches demonstrate the need for more targeted tech products that address the specific needs of different consumer demographics.
