The Gala Pot by NIMA Assures a Hassle-Free Watering Experience

NIMA launches a Kickstarter campaign for a smart plant pot that can prove to be quite beneficial for those who have a busy schedule and a green thumb. Dubbed 'Gala,' the product can keep indoor vegetation alive and healthy for up to three weeks without input from the owner. It does this through a Watair irrigation system which relies on a watering autonomy.

The entire smart plant pot experience is completely wireless. The product boasts two compartments — one for the plant and the filter, and one for the water reservoir. The process is interesting "because water is never in contact with the plant." Gala's Watair system allows for the roots to be permanently oxygenated as air can openly circulate around the soil.
