Surly unveiled the 'Skid Loader,' an electric cargo bike with all-terrain capabilities. The e-bike is equipped with an 85 Nm Bosch Cargo Line motor, which delivers electric pedal assistance up to four times the rider's manual pedaling input, totaling an estimated 20 miles per hour. Aside from its motor, the Skid Loader features a 500 Wh battery, which delivers a range that will fluctuate greatly based on riding conditions.
The off-roading capabilities of the e-bike stem from its generous 400mm suspension that boasts up to 120mm of travel. Additionally, the bike has 27.5-inch grippy wheels, meaning it can ride on dirt and gravel conditions while remaining smooth.
The Surly Skid Loader retails for $4,799 USD and is available from Surly.
