ShopeeFood is the Food Expansion Branch by Shopee

Shopee is a favorable retail delivery platform in Indonesia and the latest announcement is the ShopeeFood delivery service. The e-commerce platform has been campaigning for the new introduction across its social media channels within the past few months. ShopeeFood is to function as a driver app and uses ShopeePay in collaboration with AtozGo, which is a short-distance food delivery service.

To date, ShopeeFood has onboarded over 500 merchants according to local Indonesian media, Kayadata.co.id. Zennon Kapron from Kapronasia states that ""Food delivery in Indonesia and Southeast Asia is incredibly competitive at the moment, but the market is far from settled [...] ShopeeFood will need to be ready to invest heavily with subsidies for both merchants and users, but given Sea’s stock performance, the required capital shouldn’t be a challenge."
