Sensorial Female-Centric Art

'Fenoména' is an Art Installation That Requires All Five Senses

A collective of four designers met for Milan Design Week to showcase Fenoména, a sensorial installation that explores perceptions of womanhood that delve deeper than traditional media representations. Known as 'The Ladies' Room,' Ilaria Bianchi, Agustina Bottoni, Astrid Luglio and Sara Ricciardi are the four women who make up the collective responsible for Fenoména.

The name 'The Ladies' Room' invites viewers to get a glimpse into the private and intimate on-goings of femininity, while Fenoména, alluding to phenomenalism, describes the theory in which phenomenon's don't exist as physical entities, but as something that is perceived through the senses. The Exhibition's visitors are invited to explore femininity through their five senses, by brushing, smelling and listening.

A sensorial installation like Fenoména speaks to generations that value and express female empowerment and equality through artistic endeavors.
