Hybrid Lightbulb-Speakers

Sengled's PULSE LED Speaker Reinvents Lighting with Sound

At CES 2014, Sengled wowed consumers with facial recognition lightbulbs for home security and it continues to do so by converging lighting with other purposes. In the case of its PULSE LED Speakers—that don't really look like speakers—this home gadget provides illumination and serves as a sound system. Disguised as lightbulbs, these speakers are designed to sit in any standard E26 socket, such as in a lamp or in a ceiling.

Powered by 1.75-inch JBL Multi-Channel Stereo Wireless speakers, PULSE is able to stream music from a Bluetooth-enabled device. When it comes to control, everything from volume to the intensity of light is handled through a dial on the screen of an accompanying smartphone app. Knowing that music and light are two essentials for many households, this is a genius combination.
