This Kitchen Makes Consumers Question Their Eating Habits

Built by the architecture firm MVRDV, this see-through kitchen is both striking and thought-provoking.

The transparent kitchen was displayed at the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale and is complete with transparent counters, dishes, storage areas, food preparation areas and garbage bins. The purpose of this see-through kitchen is to make food "sexy" again by displaying it as the main feature in the kitchen. It also lets the user question their use of food, their waste production and their dietary habits by having it displayed for everyone to see.

While the piece would likely be impractical in many traditional homes, it would be well suited for a modern home and displays a provocative statement that is important for people to think about in these days of increased consumption habits.
