Seeing The World Like an Animal

National Geographic Critter Cam

Ever wonder what animals do when you're not around?

Now with critter cams, researchers and everyday people can see what goes on when there aren't humans around to observe animal behavior. The footage above is from National Geographic and shows lions in the wild, but there are many other animals to be watched and many different reasons to watch them.

For example, some nature photographers will set up motion activated critter cams in the wild to catch a glimpse of where animals travel and maybe even record a video clip.

Some of the footage from the Planet Earth Series was captured by critter cam.

National Geographic presents a touring exhibition called Critter Cam: The World Through Animal Eyes. The exhibition will be at the Museum of Science in Boston from June to September 2009.
