The Schnayderman FW18 Collection is Inspired by the New Wave

Stockholm-based fashion label Schnayderman designed a minimalist collection for the Spring/Summer 2018 season. The new capsule draws a strong inspiration from the New Wave era, specifically the musical icons during the 70s and 80s. This influence includes aesthetics of Ian Curtis from Joy Division and Robert Smith from The Cure. Schnayderman recalls these inspirational icons through its use of colors and textures throughout the range.

The collection incorporates hues of mustard yellow, rusty tones and pink with more muted tones of black, sand, and blue as its color palette. In terms of fabric materials, the new seasonal collection implements a wide range of textures. There are constructions of linen twill, technical nylon, Tencel materials and mohair wool. Some standout items from the collection include the Coatshirt, an Overshirt Denim jacket, and a shell coat with unstructured details in technical nylon, mohair wool, or wool boucle.
