Cotton Candy Pizzas

Tokyo's Schmatz Restaurant Offers a Sweet Pizza Topped with Cotton Candy

A German-themed restaurant in the heart of Tokyo can reasonably be expected to offer some wacky menu items, and Schamtz has delivered. In celebration of the start of cherry blossom season in Japan, Schmatz Beer Dining, a small German restaurant chain with three location in Tokyo, has invented a new, sweet dish: a cherry blossom cotton candy pizza.

The pizza comes with a thin crust pie and three cheeses, but by far the biggest selling point is the cumulus puff of cotton candy placed and a sprinkling of cherry blossom petals on top of it. The pizza comes with a honey ginger sauce that diners drizzle over the dish to taste.

Though the cherry blossom cotton candy pizza sounds novel, the offering is only a new seasonal update on the restaurant's popular cotton candy pizza.
