The new head designer of the old classic house has just shown his first Schiaparelli Spring 2014 Couture collection this week in Paris. Designer Marco Zanini says he was always a great fan of Ela Schiaparelli and tried his best to keep her surrealist spirit in the collection.
Marco does a stunning job with this Schiaparelli Spring 2014 Couture show. He seamlessly blends eccentric surrealism with refined taste. Inspiration was obviously drawn from multiple sources and time periods. Different colors, prints and silhouettes are all used. The only thing consistent is the madness. Even the models have different styled hair and makeup. While one girl might have large puffy red hair covering her eyes, another has classically Japanese makeup and still others have blue tresses or flowers in their hair.
