'A Bunch of Crock' Depicts Satirical Political Campaigns

With his new series, ‘A Bunch of Crock,’ illustrator Safwat Saleem has added a satirical edge to propaganda by mocking several of the political campaigns throughout North America. Each work in the series depicts a vintage-esque photograph of an all-American family. However, this exemplary family is contrasted by the work’s bleak, and often crude, caption, which criticizes the government and makes for a highly effective work.

‘A Bunch of Crock’ is a daring creation that tackles sensitive issues from gun control to civil rights. By stating his opinions boldly and without regret, Saleem has demonstrated his incredible passion and verve for both art and politics. While many people might not agree with his statements, Saleem’s works have still made an impact, whether positive or negative, on each of their viewers. For this reason, Saleem’s ‘A Bunch of Crock’ is one of the most memorable of recent years.
