Prairie Meets Tundra Chic

Gucci Winter 2009 is Fit For Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin has become one of the biggest American style icons of the fall, so my interest in Alaskan fashion was piqued.

What do they wear up North? When Sarah Palin goes shopping, what are the trends she’s choosing from?

I think Gucci nailed the Arctic fall/winter look. Their Gucci 2009 Winter campaign screams prairie girl meets tundra chic; it has rich colors, is laden with lambskin and heavy on warm furs. Perhaps a bit too over-the-top for Sarah Palin?

I have a hunch it won’t be long before "sexy" Sarah Palin becomes the face for a fashion brand, and if I were a fashion designer in Alaska, I’d seize the opportunity to use a local celebrity!
