Samsung Medical Center Introduces Mobile Outpatient Questionnaires

Samsung Medical Center (SMC), a tertiary hospital located in Seoul, South Korea, has officially introduced an artificial intelligence-enabled mobile questionnaire system, which directly supports the company's recent shift to a mobile-first hospital outpatient department process.

According to the SMC, the new system will save employees approximately 1.6 hours a day, which is usually attributed to preparing physical questionnaires for patients. This number is derived from the fact that, on average, it takes employees 160 seconds to prepare a physical questionnaire per pateint.

Currently, the new system offers 14 types of questionnaires for patients in areas including interstitial cystitis, prostatomegaly, urine incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and more. Overall, the new outpatient system belongs to SMC's broader aim of simplifying the hospitalization process.
