This Chain is Installing Samsung Galaxy Tablets in Its UK Locations

McDonald's recently announced that it will be outfitting the majority of its UK locations with Samsung Galaxy tablets. The chain began experimenting with tablets in some of its restaurants back in 2014 and these trials proved so successful that the chain is now rolling out the technology in more than 250 locations.

As part of McDonald's 'Experience of the Future' program, customers will be able to access Samsung Galaxy tablets installed throughout the restaurant. These touchscreen kiosks will run on software provided by SOTI and they will allow customers to play games, browse the web and access social media. As Head of IT Restaurant Solutions and Service at McDonald's UK Doug Baker explains, "the changes we're making as part of the 'Experience of the Future' programme bring us closer to the way people live their lives today." In other words, the technology will bring the chain into the 21st century by adding a new level of connectivity to the in-store experience.
