Runny Pointillism

Alex Young's Alter-Ego Paintings

Pointillism is a style of painting in which small distinct points of primary colors create the impression of a wide selection of secondary and intermediate colors. Alex Young takes this approach one step further and makes the points run.

His paintings look like actual photographs that got caught in the rain. These paintings are taken from EXHIBITIONISM, his solo show at the Grenade gallery, 212 Kensington Park Road, London.

The paintings feature strippers and burlesque dancers and are meant to bring awareness to preconceptions and alter egos, according to Young.
