If there is an extra lamp lying around that you never use because you hate the way it looks, this is a great opportunity to give it a different look by revamping the lamp shade. If you don't have an extra lamp, the metal base used in this example was found in a second-hand shop for very cheap, as were the old-fashioned rulers that make up the lamp shade.
