Artist Ronit Bigal has taken to the human body as a means to relay her creativity in her Body Scripture II project. Bigal takes backs, feet and hands as her canvas here, doing away with standard art mediums.
Indian ink is used to convey Biblical passages in Body Scripture II. The Hebrew letters often do an excellent job of masking the human form, making it difficult for viewers to know just which part of the body they may be looking at. Those who are privy to her live pieces are furthermore invited to decipher the connection, or lack thereof, between the chosen body part and the text displayed. Bigal has yet to reveal the ties.
