Cost-Effective Electric Motorcycles

The ROAM Air Motorcycle Rivals Gas Bike Costs

The ROAM Air is an upcoming electric motorcycle that marks the first official public release of a motorcycle from the electric mobility startup. ROAM was originally founded in 2017 under the name Opibus, though it has since undergone significant changes since then. Many of ROAM's successful mobility ventures were in Africa, which is a trend that it is continuing with the Air.

The ROAM Air retails for $1,500 USD at MSRP, and will be available initially in Kenya near the end of 2022. Following this, ROAM stated that the motorbike will enter "select countries" throughout 2022, following a full global release into 2023. The bike includes two removable 3.24kWh batteries and an official wall charger for said batteries, which charges each unit in roughly four hours.

The ROAM Air achieves performance specifications that include a top speed of 90 km/h and a maximum range of 180 km.
