Transportation Subscription Services

Uber's Ride Pass is Available in Five Different Cities

Uber's 'Ride Pass' system is a subscription-based transportation service that is currently available in five different American cities -- Denver, Miami, Orlando, Austin, and Los Angeles. For the rate of $14.99 a month, or $24.99 a month for Los Angeles, riders are able to lock in a flat rate for their UberX and UberPool rides during that month. This is predicted to save 15% of monthly travel expenses for regular Uber riders.

The service is available for sign up directly on the app, where savings can be tracked and auto-renewed monthly. From the drivers' end, they will still be earning the same amount based off of both time and distance traveled. The update setting will display the number of days left of the month subscription, the date it will be renewed with the option to unsubscribe, and the amount of money saved thus far each month.
