ALDI is Introducing a Recycled PET Wine Bottle in its Private Label

This recycled PET wine bottle has been launched by ALDI in the UK to showcase eco-friendly alcohol packaging in the brand's private label as part of larger push towards sustainability in the industry.

The bottle is observed for the Chapter & Verse Shiraz, Chapter & Verse Chardonnay and the Chassaux et Fils Méditerranée Rosé, and boasts flat profile that's easy to ship and stock on store shelves. Weighing in at just 63-grams, the wine bottle is reported to be almost seven-times lighter than traditional glass alternatives and inherently stronger with a shatterproof profile.

Managing Director of Buying at ALDI UK Julie Ashfield spoke on the recycled PET wine bottle saying, "We know shoppers are looking for greener, more sustainable products and our aim is to continue to deliver this, whilst offering great value and enhanced functionality. We’re pleased to be taking the next step in expanding our recyclable, eco-friendly range."
