Recyclebank Encourages Recycling with Rewards for Rubbish

Hollywood, Florida began offering RecycleBank points to its garbage customers on February 1, 2010.  RecycleBank is a rewards program that motivates people to recycle. Municipal and private garbage collection companies partner with the program to give customers who recycle points redeemable for goods and services at participating local and national rewards partners.

Each home’s recyclables are measured when they are collected. RecycleBank Points are awarded accordingly. The program has more than doubled recycling rates in participating cities across the United States and the United Kingdom.
