Lazerian and Envision Racing Design the Recover-E Series

Machester design studio Lazerian works to create the Recover-E, which is a replica racing car. All of this was commissioned by the Formula E team Envision Racing as a means to bring awareness to the growing problem that is electronic waste. The Recover-E has a modified drive train that is gathered from a beach buggy to ensure that it is able to drive at slow speeds.

Other items are seen throughout the car including the driver halo that is made from Nintendo Wii controllers, an electric fly swatter, and a Sony VR headset. Founder and owner of Lazerian Liam Hopkins tells Dezeen "You can show people how much waste we all go through, but when you take it and turn it into something else it becomes this vehicle to start to trigger people's minds and actually make them think about this stuff. For me it was a beautiful project to be able to create something that will get to a huge amount of people, to bring this issue to them in a way that's not forcing it down the throat."
