'The Queen of the Ocean' Book is Made from Plastic Found in the Ocean

Japanese company Tejin collaborated with the non-profit group Waste Free Oceans to released a book called 'The Queen of the Ocean.' The children's book is made entirely of plastic that is found in the ocean, featuring illustrations designed by Chervelle Fryer.

The book follows the story of the character Pippa, as she travels into the depths of the ocean to find that animals are dying and are unable to swim due to all of the pollution and plastic floating in the water. The brands came together to collect plastic around the world, converting them into usable fibres to replace paper.

Choosing to use what is harming the planet right now as opposed to extracting natural resources, The Queen of the Ocean book is made ethically, with an educational and exciting story.
