This App Helps Hunters & Anglers Store Licenses & Access Local Updates

Authorities in the western Canadian province of Saskatchewan have launched a new hunting and fishing app that aims to help keen hunters and anglers in the province to go about getting all the information they need in order to ensure that all their activities are safe, legal and well-informed.

The 'SK Hunt & Fish' mobile app was launched by Aspira, the company that the government of Saskatchewan relies on for issuing hunting and fishing licenses. Accordingly, app-based storage of licenses is one of the features offered by this hunting and fishing app. It also provides updated weather information, information on wildlife protection and management zones and the ability for users to provide surveys.

Available as a free download on the Apple App Store and Google Play, the 'SK Hunt & Fish' app is a fine example of how the ubiquitous mobile app can be used to help government ministries engage with citizens when it comes to outdoor activities that have an impact on wildlife and the ecosystem.
