It was a nautical neon overload at the Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 RTW show. Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough played with tie-dyed silk prints, girlie ruffles and plastic fringe in bright, peppy colors. The boys took the idea of the track jacket and the collared shirt and deconstructed them to wrap around waists and become skirts and tank dresses. The palette must have been inspired by the colors found in an aquarium, with shades of royal blue, turquoise and neon yellow floating about. Like most shows, the Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 collection also focused heavily on black and white.
The Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 collection also featured metallic-tinted sunglasses, small neon handbags with chunky rainbowy-colored mountain climbing-inspired chain handles, thickset metallic cuffs and strappy peep-toe sandals. Their wildly successful accessories line is sure to continue increasing in popularity.
