The 'Power Supply Container' Will Bring Electricity to Remote Regions

Panasonic has developed self-contained solar power plant dubbed the Power Supply Container. The Power Supply Container is fitted with 12 solar modules that capture energy from the sun and convert it to 3 kilowatts of electricity. It is also capable of storing excess electricity.

The device's control unit monitors and manages excess electricity stored by the system's batteries, and also controls supply and demand. Panasonic claims that this protects the batteries from deterioration and increases their lifespan.

The Power Supply Container is designed to be portable and easy to assemble without professional construction work. It is part of an effort by Panasonic to bring reliable electricity supplies to remote regions. Panasonic is looking to mass-produce the units to lower their price and make them more affordable and accessible.
