Kirsten Potenza and Cristina Peerenboom founded the POUND workout, which is a full body intensive workout that combines cardio and drumming. Each 45-minute class allows participants to get active and create music using the brand’s trademark drumsticks called ‘ripstix.’

The bright green ripstix weigh a quarter of a pound each and are incorporated into every part of the workout. The ripstix encourage participants to tap along to the beat while participating in cardio, strength training and conditioning exercises. The ripstix play a vital role in the workout because it allows participates to become part of the music instead of traditional workouts, which are often only guided by the music.
