The perfect do-it-yourself activity this summer is creating one of these Potus Pots recycled lightbulb planters. The design is originally by Natalia Hojman and Angeles Estrada Vigil, but the concept can be used by anyone.
The recycled lightbulb planters are essentially just an old incandescent light bulb with the guts removed, then placed on a wooden base to hold the lightbulb planter upright. I think that Potus Pots are a really great idea for recycled lightbulbs, especially with the new CFLs replacing all the old incandesant bulbs.
