The Pot for Plasma campaign by The Greenhouse, a medical and adult-use cannabis dispensary in Walled Lake, Michigan, offers blood donors free cannabis. Jerry Millen, the owner of the cannabis company, became aware of the American Red Cross's need for blood amidst a national shortage. He explains: "I saw that [news report] and I thought about it for a minute and then it started sinking in more over the next week."

During the first week of the promotion, The Greenhouse gave away 300 pre-rolled cannabis joints to blood donors. The campaign started on January 18th and will run for six weeks. Millen's brand partnered with UBaked, a cultivator and processor in Burton, Michigan, to provide the pre-rolls.
