Post-Covid Pavilion Projects

ADDP Architects & OWIU Boasted the Centre Piece of 2020 Archifest

Designers and architects are envisioning the post-COVID pavilion. One example worth mentioning is the thought-provoking 'Reclaiming Connectivity' project, completed in collaboration between ADDP Architects and OWIU Design. The piece was central to the 2020 Archifest in Singapore.

In order to envision the design of the post-COVID pavilion, the creative team drew inspiration from the global challenges, as well as the individual and community needs that have arisen as a result. Through the design, the architects are testing out the guidelines for future pavilions—from "the total prefab construction to its spatial layout, sustainable wooden material composition, functional tectonic glass design, and light manipulation."

With the piece, ADDP architects and OWIU Design are recognizing the toll of isolation and are striving to create safe spaces that offer both privacy, as well as social distancing but in a public setting.
