This App Helps Citizens Submit Tips, Provide Feedback and File Reports

The Riverside Policing Department in southern California has unveiled a policing app that isn't just designed to disseminate pertinent information to the general public, but also aims to help the public take a proactive approach towards safety and community-building.

Available as a free download on the Apple and Android app stores, the department's 'Atlas One' policing app allows two-way communication through the Riverside Policing Department's social media presence, whilst also enabling people to submit tips to help solve crimes, provide feedback around neighborhood issues and complete certain kinds of reports.

In the words of Riverside Police Chief Larry Gonzalez, this policing app 'increases our efforts collaborating with our community to improve the communication, quality of life, and safety of all who live, work, and enjoy our city of arts and innovation.
