FRoSTA Foodservice is Venturing into the Plant-Based Fish Category

FRoSTA Foodservice -- which is a German frozen food supplier -- released a range of plant-based fish products back in 2019, making it "the first major seafood company to jump on the plant-based bandwagon."

The vegan range is offered in three versions, including irritations of a fish cake, a fried fish, and a crispy fillet. Each product is made with "various light vegetables, hemp protein, and linseed oil." FRoSTA Foodservice has worked on its plant-based fish offerings for quite some time as it sought out to satisfy "its claim to always do without aromas, colorings, and flavor enhancers or yeast extract." According to the company, this can be considered a first on the market.

In addition, FRoSTA Foodservice completes its new product offerings with packaging made from uncoated sustainable paper.
