Daiya's Plant-Based Flatbreads Were Inspired by Italian Restaurants

With flavors like Mushroom, Caramelized Onion & Fig; Tomato, Sunflower Seed Pesto, & Arugula; and Meatless Italian Sausage style crumbles, Roasted Pepper & Kale, Daiya is introducing plant-based flatbreads. These first-of-their-kind plant-powered and allergen-friendly flatbreads were inspired by an Italian trattoria experience and they pile Daiya Cutting Board Cheeze Shreds atop a thin gluten-free crust.

Mozzarella, parmesan and feta are the cheeses that are emulated with these Italian-inspired flatbreads, which are loaded with colorful veggies and meatless alternatives. Dan Hua, Vice President of Marketing, said "We know that consumers are often still choosing to cook at home, versus eating out as a result of the pandemic, and so we wanted to ensure they had the option for both a quick and convenient, yet delicious-tasting flatbread that was both plant-based and allergen-friendly."
