2XJ Architects' Design is Vibrant, Shingled and Quaint

The design of this family residence in Druskininkai, Lituania is largely pine cone-inspired. 2XJ Architects drew motifs from the forest landscape by the Nemunas river, ultimately creating a largely design-forward, unique and curious structure that embraces a quiet and vibrant aesthetic. The double-height ceiling of the home creates a welcomed space-enhancing element that leaves room to breathe and draws the attention to the upper wall and ceiling surfaces, which contain the most direct pine cone-inspired element. As the lower part of the walls are painted in dust blue, the upper white shingled part—that resembles the conical fruit's surface—draws attention and is truly a unique element to the interior design.

With a strong focus on natural motifs, the rest of the pine cone-inspired home is decked out in a beautiful and vibrant palette of blue.
