Smart Glass-Topped Lookouts

These Picturesque Cabins Offer Stunning Views Of the Sky

Kristie Wolfe, who has made a name for herself across a number of design realms that run the gamut from tiny homes to dresses, is launching a stunning architectural project in the form of five picturesque cabins that are elevated, and feature smart glass technology to promote immersive stargazing.

The 'MoonPass Lookouts' structures, which are set to be constructed in a forested area in Idaho, will measure in at around nine meters high and accessible via an exterior staircase. Each cabin features a ceiling made with smart glass that goes opaque during the day in order to regulate sunlight exposure, and can become fully transparent at night to offer spectacular views of the stars and the moon.

These picturesque cabins will be solar-powered and feature amenities such as a kitchen, wood-burning stove and private sauna.
