Michael Kai’s photographic collection, entitled ‘This Side Up,’ look normal at first glance. Look again and you’ll see that he has cleverly tweaked the pictures to disorient the viewer. The pictures makes you wonder if you’re looking at them the right way around. The photographer said, this "body of work is about optical illusion and the manipulated perception of space."

The German-born, but Australian-based photographer was the 2008 winner of the First International Photographic Art Prize "Arte Laguna".
