This Pet Supplies Plus recycle program is a new endeavor by the retailer and its sister retailer Wag N' Wash to provide shoppers with a way to keep their pet product packaging out of the landfill. The program has been created in partnership with TerraCycle and will boast in-store solutions for consumers to take advantage of. This includes a spot to recycle flexible pet food and treat bags, which will then be sent to TerraCycle to be cleaned, sorted and recycled into a material ready for use in new products.
CEO Chris Rowland spoke on the Pet Supplies Plus recycle program saying, "We take pride in offering our neighbors a simple and convenient solution to aid in keeping our planet waste-free. The partnership with TerraCycle is a natural progression as our brands continue to meet the needs of our neighbors and do our part to reduce waste."
