Parley and adidas Built a Tennis Court Over the Great Barrier Reef

Parley and adidas partnered up to build a recycled plastic tennis court that floats over the Great Barrier Reef. Parley for the Oceans is an environmental nonprofit. The company teamed with adidas to design the floating sports field in an effort to raise awareness about plastic waste in our oceans.

The team designed a full-size and sustainable tennis court in the middle of the ocean using entirely recycled materials. The recycled tennis court is stationed atop a barge that makes routine trips across the reef for environmental marine construction projects. Thus far, the court hosted a few matches between some of Australia's biggest tennis stars. After the match, Parley and adidas donated the court to a local Townsville school.
