Horizontal Burning Lamps

The Pare Light by Tapio Anttila Reimagines the Traditional Coil

Everything will eventually undergo a reinterpretation of some sort and right now that involves the traditional torches used outdoors thanks to the Pare Light. Instead of iconic coil or tiki bamboo torches, the Pare Light burns horizontally, similar to incense.

Designed by Tapio Anttila, the Pare Light is impressive not only because of its interesting design, but also because of the material used. According to The Design Blog, it's "made using a renewable natural material, the light includes a stainless steel base that [...] provides adequate space to store the holder, spare splints and matches."
