This Graphic Guesses Hues for the 2014 Pantone Color of the Year

This graphic from iStock collects the expert opinions from designers around the world on what the 2014 Pantone Color of the Year might be.

The color Pantone announced for 2013 was an Emerald green and in the past few years it’s been bright colors like Tangerine, pink Honeysuckle and Turquoise. This range makes it difficult to tell what Pantone will name as the Color of the Year next and the designers consulted for this graphic seem just as split with their guesses, although more somber colors seem to be popular choices. Two designers chose shades of grey and one even chose one of Pantone’s blacks — it seems we will just have to wait and see what Pantone calls as the color of the year for 2014.
