Panda Express Unveils Its Newest Technology, the 'Panda Auto Wok'

American Chinese restaurant chain Panda Express has unveiled its newest robotic integration, the 'Panda Auto Wok (PAW).' The proprietary technology has already been implemented in 120 Panda Express locations, and the company has stated that it plans to roll it out to an additional 240 stores in the coming months.

The Panda Auto Wok is essentially a robotic arm that has been designed to assist with the physical labor associated with high-volume wok cooking. Usually, popular dishes, such as Panda Express' fried rice, require chefs to manually stir and toss large portions that are cooking in massive woks. Now, however, these chefs have the option to utilize the Panda Auto Wok, which can automatically stir and toss these dishes. Not only does this prevent the chefs from taxing their bodies, but it also provides them more time to focus on mixing the right ingredients and developing the perfect flavor.
