Transparent TV Screens

The Panasonic Transparent Display Debuted at This Year's CES 2016 Event

During this year's CES 2016 event, the Panasonic Transparent Display screen was revealed to the public. This television screen is 90% transparent and brings a striking concept to life.

At CES 2016, the live prototype was set up in front of a wooden shelving unit, which allowed visitors to experience the transparency firsthand. Additionally, the screen can be rolled upwards like a projection sheet, allowing access to the shelves behind it. The technology used for the Panasonic Transparent Display is stored beneath the screen in a wooden cupboard so it's out of sight from the viewer.

The idea behind this television originated from the desire to eliminate the large eyesore of blank-screened TVs. While this transparent TV is almost completely see-through, Panasonic eventually hopes to present a 100% translucent screen to consumers.
