Ovolo Hotels to Go Vegetarian for a Year as Its 'The Year of the Veg'

Vegetarianism is growing in popularity as conscious consumers look to better themselves and the environment, but travelling and being in a new setting has always challenged dietary restrictions -- this is part of the reason why Ovolo Hotels will be going entirely vegetarian for a full year. This decision was made as part of the brands new The Year of the Veg initiative, in which all of its bars and restaurants across Australia and Hong Kong will adopt a plant-based menu for the next 365 days.

According to the CEO Girish Jhunjhnuwala, "We want to be conscious about what we are consuming and practice environmental sustainability as best as we can, as this leads to a larger impact on humanity, not just the environment."
