Plug-Propped Lamps

The Wald Outlet Light is Freestanding and Anchored to the Socket

No cord comes with this outlet light, because it doesn't need one––and you might wonder how this is possible. Fundamentally, this light fixture has been designed with its own plug built right into it, enabling you to insert the base directly into the power source to make it work.

With it being common practice to install wall sockets close to the floor, designer David Okum of Feltmark created a crook in the slender metal frame of the wall lamp. The 90-degree angle causes the tip with the lightbulb to point upwards towards eye level, producing illumination from a convenient place.

The industrial Wald outlet light is ideal for setting up next to beds, reading chairs and desks. It offers a greta deal of functionality within a mall box of fine parts, enabling it to be flat-packed and assembled easily.
